Stephen W. Ripple, M.D.

    Dr. Stephen Ripple is a board certified general orthopaedic surgeon with a specialty interest in shoulder disorders.   He performs surgeries on the hand, elbow, and knee in addition to surgery on the shoulder using arthroscopic and open techniques.  He also treats adult and pediatric fractures of the upper and lower extremities.  Dr. Ripple has been with our group in the northwest valley for 17 years after providing orthopaedic care at Luke AFB as an officer in the United States Air Force.   His privileges include Honor Health Deer Valley,  Abrazo Arrowhead campus, and Metro Surgery Center.

    Dr. Ripple graduated in 1992 from the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine as a Dean’s Scholar and member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.  He received a B.S. in biology in 1988 from St. Mary’s College of California where he was awarded the Scholar Athlete Award at graduation.  Dr. Ripple’s internship and residency was at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan from 1992-1997 and he was chosen chief resident during his final year.

    Dr. Ripple appreciates Arizona’s beautiful environment and enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, traveling, and sports, having coached youth soccer, baseball, and lacrosse.
